A world-first? Shifting Sands is an English reading scheme designed for Emirati children in the UAE. As one of the founding partners, I was tasked to develop the brand. Starting with the logo and moving through to a book design that complimented the localised illustration style, we've created a modern reading scheme for the Emirati audience.
Editorial Design + Branding
There are currently 48 books in the reading scheme across four levels. Each level was designated a colour from the vibrant infant-orientated colour palette, along with an animal from the region.
e-Commerce Website
I designed and built the e-Commerce website using Wix. The book cover designs were colourful and playful but this didn't necessarily resonate with the main buying persona, so these colours were heavily contrasted with a near-black, creating a premium and modern feel.
